K'ren Blacke
Back-Alley Criminal | Ne'er-do-well
K'ren was born to a mother who didn't care for the child and a father who never knew. He was abandoned before his first summer, and was left to be taken in by one of the local orphanages. He was given the name "K'ren" as a nod to his Seeker roots, despite the fact he may have zero relation to the K-tribe. He accepts the name "Ren", recognizing just how arbitrarily the name was given. "Blacke" came later; He liked the sound of it frankly, as he had no ties to tribal life and thus wouldn't bother with the "Tia" tag.
Life was rough from the onset; the orphanage wasn't well funded, being outside of Ul'dah. He grew up a street urchin: sneaking about, picking pockets, thieving bread, and getting into fights with the other local kids. The orphanage did little to contain his problematic adolescence, and his knack for getting into trouble only grew as got older.
Having left the orphanage in adulthood, he made his way for Ul'dah, spending time among the streets of the glamorous city. He got in with the local refugees and cutpurses, making a few friends along the way, dabbling in his own scraps of crime to get by. Occasionally he'd jump into something far more serious such as burglary, banditry, and your typical mugging in a quiet alley on the streets of Nald and Thal. That's where he finds himself today of course, carrying on day-by-day, searching for the next piece of work, the next bit of gil to be had, or his own little 'adventure'.
Criminal: One of the oldest professions out there. He's been dealing with low-life's and criminals since he was a young boy. He knows the game, and he's gonna play it. Need someone for a little side work? Wanna get mugged? Ren may be the person for you! (May be open to playing generic antagonist for some!)
Street Informant: If you're looking for information about the on-goings around Ul'dah, look no further! Ren has made his way around the block at least a dozen times and can find out information for you if the price is right. He tends to be quite an active listener, and people in alleys always seemingly have loose lips..
Night Life: When coin does come into his hand, Ren happily enjoys it. Drinking, gambling, the occasional illicit substance binge -- When he's out and about it'd be a sure way to make some friends while enjoying themselves.
The Green Blades: One who spends enough time around him will eventually find his weapon of choice to be daggers -- He has a particular set of daggers that have been stained green over the years from years of application of a variety of substances. This has likely left some long-term effects, and some may be interested in seeing them or learning more.
